Employer healthcare costs are projected to rise by 6.5% in 2023[1]. Employers and brokers are increasingly interested in finding innovative solutions to save on the cost of healthcare.
In a July 2022 survey conducted by The Occunet Company, 90% of employers indicated they would be interested in adopting a reference-based pricing health plan option for 25-30% savings. The survey was conducted across 217 employers with 100-5,000+ U.S.-based employees with employer-sponsored private health insurance.
Tom Martel, Chief Growth Officer of HealthComp was recently featured on The Occunet Company’s news page on the subject of reference-based pricing:
“HealthComp has been dedicated to transforming benefits administration by bringing expert medical cost management solutions that integrate seamlessly with any benefits ecosystem. Reference-based pricing is a leading solution that is both flexible and data-driven in supporting the shifting needs of employers.”
